Venus Wafers to introduce Mariner's Biscuit
Venus Wafers, a Hingham-based baked snacks company, will introduce Mariner's Biscuit next month. The latest offering expands the Original Mariner’s Biscuit range.
With the launch of the new product, Venus is eyeing specialty food stores and their consumers who prefer to purchase snacks made of natural ingredients, reported patriotladger.com.
Venus claims to be the first wafer confirmed by the Non-GMO Project - a nonprofit that verifies products made without genetically-modified ingredients.
In addition, the cracker is also certified as Kosher and vegan by the Orthodox Union and the Vegan Action/Vegan Awareness Foundation.
Venus Wafers President Michael Thompson said that as consumers have become more aware about food ingredients, the requirements are changing.
