FBR Staff Writer Published 11 April 2016

Jack Link's Protein Snacks has hired Tom "TD" Dixon as the company's first chief marketing officer.

The family-run company continues to lead and grow the meat snack category through innovation and a commitment to high-quality, great-tasting products.

As the global CMO, TD will oversee strategic planning for all marketing and innovation functions across the Jack Link's family of brands.

"Great innovation is rooted in fearlessness and no one else in the category has demonstrated that mentality and passion like Jack Link's," TD said. "I am thrilled to be joining the Jack Link's family and the opportunity to build on its existing category leadership and amazing portfolio of protein snacks."

The chief marketing officer position is a new addition to Jack Link's and an indicator of the company's continued growth and dedication to expand the protein snacks category.

"We've been passionate about making the best-tasting meat snacks for 30 years," said Troy Link, president and CEO of Jack Link's. "TD has the right type of experience, leadership and attitude to help us fuel our legacy of innovation and global mission to offer high-quality protein snacks for every kind of consumer."

TD comes to Jack Link's with more than 19 years of global marketing experience. Most recently, TD served as chief marketing officer at Welch's and previously held roles at Kimberly Clark and the Schwan Food Company.

"Joining Jack Link's is both a professional and personal milestone for me," TD said. "As a family-run business, Jack Link's has a commitment to fostering strong communities that speaks to my values. The focus on growth and a great community presence is very exciting for my family and me, and an opportunity to return to our beloved Midwest roots."
